Naast fietsen en het zoeken naar een fijne slaapplek is een belangrijke bezigheid: eten. De hele dag door eten we. Daar gaat veel tijd inzitten. Waar is een supermarkt? Is er een bakker? Hoe lang kunnen we nog vooruit met wat we hebben? We doen onszelf niets tekort. Ontbijten met yoghurt of kwark en muesli en na elke paar uur fietsen is er brood met jam, kaas, pindakaas. Gedurende de dag werken we samen één heel brood weg! ‘s Avonds eten we pasta met verse groenten, soms met worst of vis. En tussendoor natuurlijk koffie, thee, noodles, cup a soup en soms een taartje of een lekkere koek. Tot slot, (als het effe kan) ‘s avonds een Zweeds biertje uit de supermarkt d.w.z. met een maximaal alcoholpromillage van 3,5 %. Alles daarboven wordt alleen verkocht in ’Systembolaget’: de staatsslijterij. De hele dag buiten zijn en fietsen maakt hongerig ;)

In addition to cycling and looking for a nice place to sleep, an important activity is food. We eat all day long. That takes a lot of time. Where is a supermarket? Is there a bakery? How long can we manage with what we have? We do not shorten ourselves. Breakfast with yogurt or cottage cheese and muesli and after cycling every few hours, there is bread with jam, cheese and peanutbutter. During the day we eat one whole loaf of bread together! In the evening we eat pasta with fresh vegetables, sometimes with a sausage or fish. And in between of course coffee, tea, noodles, cup a soup and sometimes a cake or a delicious cookie. Finally, (if possible) a Swedish beer from the supermarket in the evening, i.e. with a maximum alcohol content of 3.5%. Anything above that is only sold in 'Systembolaget': the state liquor store. Being outside all day and cycling makes you hungry ;)
